Disabled in Active Directory – do I need a software license?
13-06-2024 11:17The Microsoft Active Directory stores information about objects on the network. Objects can be (amongst other things) (user) accounts, computers, virtual servers. When an object is ‘disabled’, it is no longer ‘available’ or ‘accessible’. From a Microsoft licensing perspective we must ask ourselves: ‘Does a disabled object require a software license?’
